Title
Champagne Symphony
Artist
Holly Carmichael
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
16" x 20" custom mixed drizzled acrylics on canvas. This piece is a musical symphony depicting motion, feeling, and color, the rhythm and ambience at a night out in elegance and bubbly charm. I studied up and discovered symphonies are made up of four parts hence the four figures represent them at the same time they represent musicians. A symphony is elegant and demands to be surrounded by elegance, champagne anyone? Sway on!

A fascinating painting. As I look at it, three views alternate. First, I see, as the title suggests, trails of bubbles in champagne. Second, I also see an ocean kelp bed. This is emphasized by the darker green at the bottom brightening to light spring green at the top, as in a body of water. And third, sometimes, for a second, I see simple swirls of interestingly colored paints. It's much more complex than the first glance would suggest. Nice work!

Thank you for the wonderful walk through your mind's interpretation as you ponder the painting. I am so happy you took the time to do that, Warren :) It makes for a very interesting "read" to me to hear what you see, feel and think. I hope you enjoy it. The original is still available. :)

As I have been tweaking my website, I reread the description I wrote for this piece and have cleaned it up a bit more. I hope it reads better for you now ... let me know if you see anything else that needs fixing. Again thanks!
