"Whippersnapper's Whim" is 18"x 24" mixed types of acrylics on canvas.
This piece is from an era when I was creating what I called "Drizzles". It is custom mixed acrylic colors and types and then, except for the background, it is squirted or drizzled from squirt bottles.
I was in a mischievously playful mood when I just started drizzling and oozing the paint onto the canvas. Somewhat cocky and somewhat rebellious, it's pure emotion and expression.
I finished it off with a hand painted satin spot varnish only on the drizzled paint to seal everything. It has a nice feel and sheen you'll want to touch.
Holly Carmichael is a retired contemporary creative artist living in the United States. Her artwork is inspired by life, philosophy, revealed religion, beauty, nature, and the cosmos. Dramatic skies, weather events, geological treasures, and fabulous landscapes are common influences. As a nature lover, she engages the eye by utilizing natural subject matter to produce whimsical, beautiful paintings. Many pieces are symbolic and meaningful while love is a common recurring theme.
